Re: What all the excitement and buzz is about!
Hey guys,
The excitement if building.
If you haven't checked out the comments on the blog, now
would be the time....
I'll be giving away 5 copies.
To win one, all you do is post to my blog and tell me why
YOU deserve to win it and what it would do FOR you.

The responses from people have poured in. If you haven't
posted your comment, so you have a chance to win a copy of
the new WP Leads and Sales Dashboard, I'll tell you how in
this email.
Oh, if you post a video, you'll be eligible to win an
extra valuable prize. Details are on my blog.
I'm coming out with my WP Leads and Sales Dashboard. And
here's the concept. It's very simple:
1. People only go to a sales letter once or twice
2. People go to blogs over and over. They listen to
podcasts there. They read articles. They watch videos.
They comment. They like on social sharing sites like
Facebook. They tweet.
3. Thus, a blog gives you many chances to do what I call
your "Differentiation-Proof Stack" and link to your
"Offer" stack.
So you put your differentiation and proof on your blog,
whether that is for your own product or one you're
promoting as an affiliate.
In other words, you explain why it's different and unique
and what the proof is that it works.
Then you link to the Offer which contains your "value
stack." As an affiliate, that's the stack of bonuses
you're offering if they buy from your link, as I
explained in Swagbox 7.
4. A blog has built-in split testing and viral abilities.
This means you can easily test your messages to get the
best message-to-market match. That is, you can find a
message that people comment on and respond to.
If they don't comment or respond, you choose a new
message.
5. Most people ONLY see a blog as a traffic tool, and get
sorely disappointed when Google doesn't send them love.
Well guess what? You're competing with 40 billion other
sites and blogs. Yes, you can win that Game but the
highest and best use of a blog is as a marketing TOOL.
And whatever you get from Google is a bonus.
6. People will link to articles on a blog when they won't
link directly to your product. A blog is a natural
networking tool.
Links = traffic
Links are good. Traffic is good. Therefore, blogs are
good. That is, if you put up content and good "link bait."
No link bait = no linkies. No linkies = no traffic or
begging and praying to the Google gods to smile on you,
instead of crapping on you yet again!
7. The traditional concept of a blog as only a traffic
tool leads to discouragement, the lack of results and a
dead end.
8. There are whole communities of bloggers who comment on
each others posts, do guest posts, and support each other.
With a blog that gets traffic using "non-blogging"
methods, you then have the ability to parlay your results
via networking with other bloggers.
9. If you have a chance of getting "Google love," it's a
lot more likely to happen on a blog than a sales letter.
You can get Google love on a sales letter but blogs are
ideal.
10. Blogs make it a lot easier to keep your bounce rate
low, thus making your content more attractive to Google
and other search engines.
11. Blogs have social signals baked in.
People are in the habit of commenting, tweeting, and
sharing on Facebook. Plus, plugins give you easy tools to
make this happen.
12. Even if you never get any traffic to a blog other than
from your own list, it's still an invaluable tool to use
in converting prospects into buyers.
You can post articles, podcasts, and Youtube videos. Your
own or someone else's. You can acquire social proof when
people comment or share you on social networks.
13. There are actually 3 types of blogs you can and should
have.
Most people have only 1. I'll show you how to get more
results quickly by installing the other two types of
blogs.
14. Most people are likely to waste money on hosting,
domains and other things and fall prey to traps that cost
them money.
You can save quite a bit of money when you just have the
right information.
15. As great as blogs are, they can run slow if you don't
have the right info and methods.
A slow blog is not a good thing.
16. It's far easier to make your blog look nice than it is
html.
You don't have to learn html or css to have a very nice
looking blog.
16. Blogs are supported by and used by almost everyone.
For 5 bucks on Twitter you can get help with about
anything on a blog, including getting traffic.
17. It's tons faster to post articles, videos or audio to
a blog for most people than to html pages.
Money loves speed, in the words of my friend Joe Vitale.
18. There are 1000's of pre-made designs and templates for
blogs that look totally hot.
Now, it isn't all fun and games. There ARE legitimate
obstacles you have to overcome.
==============
KEY OBSTACLES:
==============
Obstacle 1: Marlon, I want to have a blog but I'm NOT an
expert at anything.
Solution: You can interview other experts and post those
interviews on your blog. It helps to choose a topic you're
passionate about. People respond to passion, even if you
aren't the biggest expert in the world.
Obstacle 2: I'm not a good writer
Solution: Passion matters more than skill. Focus overcomes
all things. In addition, videos now work just as well.
You can do screen capture videos if you don't like being
on camera.
Obstacle 3: Creating and promoting blogs is hard work and
takes forever.
Solution: If you have 20-60 minutes a day, just follow my
step-by- step instructions, screen caps and videos.
I did an interview with Rusty who got 3 to 3 1/2 million
visitors to his blog last year. He started by posting to
his blog when he got home from work, and was eventually
able to quit his job.
Obstacle 4: I'm a newbie and don't know what topic to
produce a blog on.
Solution: I say start getting experience with something
you'll love writing about or doing videos about as long as
people in that market, niche or interest spend money.
Normally, people who are passionate about something spend
money on it. Passion and money spending go hand-in-hand.
Obstacle 5: I don't have money for recording equipment,
software and all that jazz.
Solution: I've eliminate virtually every expense possible.
Most everything can be done without money. I give the free
resources and then, if appropriate, a paid resource, if
the paid one is what I personally use. That way, if you
don't have money, you can use the free one. If you DO have
money, you can use what I personally use in my own
business.
Obstacle 6: What about security? Aren't blogs dangerous?
Solution: I show you several ways to protect your blogs
and back them up also.
Obstacle 7: Will you show me what theme to use?
Solution: Yes, I cover themes and make recommendations.
Obstacle 8: What about traffic? I have a blog but it gets
no traffic.
Solution: I have a whole in-depth icon on traffic.
However, if no one cares about your topic, you might be
better replacing your blog with a new one.
Part of the issue here is that you're still seeing a blog
as only a traffic solution, which means you're begging the
Google gods to smile on you, which is a very iffy
proposition.
Maybe they will. Maybe they won't. I believe in taking
things into your own hands, and doing stuff to GET your
own traffic, instead of SITTING on your hands, hoping and
praying that traffic magically shows up from the big G.
Obstacle 9: I got blogs. They don't make no cashola. Are
you gonna show me HOW to make my blogs bring in the bucks?
Solution: I have a whole icon on monetization. But
normally, you use your blog to get people on a list. If
you can't monetize people on your list, you have a
message-to-market match problem, not a blogging problem.
A blog isn't gonna solve that. One thing you should look
at is what bait you're offering people to get on your
list. You're offering bait that is putting the wrong
people on your list.
Your bait has to attract buyers.
Obstacle 10: I thought last week everyone and their
brother sent out emails saying blogging is dead? Why are
you talking about blogging?
Solution: Ummm, those blogging is dead emails were selling
a course on "authority blogging." In other words, it was a
really fantastic pattern interrupt to get your attention
in order to sell you a product.
That was a great marketing job by my friend Ryan Deiss.
The point is, a lot of people are still laboring under the
misconception that the only reason for existence for a
blog is traffic from the Google gods.
This is wrong.
There are 3 types of blogs you should have with 3
different purposes. And on top of that, you should get
traffic to your blog via methods you control, instead of
leaving the control in someone else's hands and just
hoping and praying they send some buyers your way.
That's no way to run a business, nor prepare for your
financial future and prosperity.
Obstacle 11: I've HAD a blog. It ain't done me no good.
What is your Dashboard gonna do for me ain't no one else
done yet?
Solution: There are only 3 steps you need:
a. Target buyers
b. Get them on a list
c. Give them reasons to buy from you, typically by
offering a little extra report, video or bonus, or even a
whole "value stack."
If you aren't getting results, you gotta isolate which one
of those 3 isn't working for you?
And what's your plan of action to fix it?
This is the start. This is the beginning of wisdom.
Best wishes,
Marlon Sanders
