Resend: This was an agonizing decision for me...

Marlon here.
I really stewed and agonized a bit over this.
Do I send you down the Primrose path?
Or the road less taken? Even if I stand to
lose a bundle?
There's a top affiliate offer I could send to you
right now that you would crawl over broken
glass to get.
I'd make a load off the upsells.
But the product itself was very mediocre.
But it's really cheap to buy.
In contnrast, there's another product. The
sales page won't make you want to crawl over
broken glass or even rocks.
It's just OK. It's "done for you" campaigns to
get $100 a day.
I did a test mailing to my list and sold TWO.
Only two. That was a real downer to me.
I could send you a "crack offer" and people
wiould be a ll over it like it was bbq ribs
or something.
So d o I promote to you the product I'll
make boatloads on that tells you exactly
what you want to hear and has loads of
proof shots of money.
Or do I send you the offer that already
tanked but is great info and really works
real world?
Here's the thing...
The video quality in it, frankly, is just ok.
Not very slick. I wish it was a little more
slick or higher end.
But it's good enough.
And the product itself is 5x the cost of the
other one.
However, the content in it is far superior
because it's the real deal and teaches you
how to do it. It's NOT just done for you
campaigns.
So they sell you a fish (done for you campaigns)
but also teach you to fish, which is what you
need and will benefit from, whether you freaking
want it or not.
Trust me, the other offer sounds a billion times
more exciting. But I care about you. You may
know that. But I care.
And I often agonoize over what I promote to
you because I care if you truly benefit or not.
Whenever I possibly can, I spend time to
review t he prdouct in advance, unless I'm in
a real time crunch and trust the promoter.
There was one problem with the product
and that is it didn't teach you how to get
traffic.
So I contacted the author and he gave
me 3 other products for you that actually
sosld for $47 each.
One of those is a simple traffic system that
actually will work for you.
The second is another traffic system that
is good.
The third is on newbie list building. How do
you use the whole system to also build your
list, which as you know, is absolutely
essential to your long term success.
These are real products that really did
sell for $47 each.
Now it doesn't sell for $7. I realize you'd
jump all over it if it did. But it doesn't.
However, you can easily piss away $47
buying 6 hypey products that don't deliver
jack to you in the end.
The reason I think this is a great purchase
is it has everything in it you need to get
sales as an affiliate and snag additional
bonus payouts.
If you aren't going to produce your own
product, it's a great way to get started.
Here's the promo page for it:

I also shot a video which, quite frankly,
must be pretty awful because only 2 people
bought from it.
But it does tell you the truth. And I would
hope that a few more of my customers would
prefer that to a sales page that is written by
a highl level pro copywriter with pro graphics,
pro screenshots and the upsells from hades.
But doesn't really deliver value.
Like I say, apparently this video is proven
to not make you want the product. But
it is the truth as I see it.

I d on't know if you realize this or not.
The vast majority of marketers just send
you whatever the hot offers are that are
selling -- regardlless.
I've probably screwed up over time and
sent 2 or 3 offers I should have more
carefully reviewed.
I remember every one.
It's a challenge. Because unfortunately
the "crack from hell" offers that sound
so sseasy, fast, simple and eniicing are
the ones people crawl over broken glass
to buy.
By far, I'd make more sales promoting them.
And that's exactly what the huge, vast
majority of marketters do.
The only reason I don't do that is actually
care, as bizarre as that may sound in today's
world.
I care because of how much pain and struggle
I went through to learn what I tach you.
It took me over 10 years because I didn't
have the Internet for most of those. I've
always, always, always wanted to help
others avoid the pain I went through.
People think I'm somehow special and
I can do this but they can't. The truth is
I have an average IQ.
I usually make every mistake in the book
and then some before I figure something
out.
I'm not a born salesperson.
I have 1/4th the physical stamina of many
marketers.
My dad thought I was off the edge of the
moon. And till the day he passed on I don't
think he had any clue what it is I do for
a living.
I compete against people 30 years younger
than me who are 4x better looking than I
ever was, even at their age.
When I started out not only could I not sell
my way out a wet paper bag, I couldn't
give it away.
So no. I'm not anything freaking special.
The ONLY reason I'm here is I had the
good fortune of a great mentor and was
fortunate to develop a Cookie Cutter
Marketing Formula that truly is amazing.
The only reason I succeeded is because
I wouldn't let myself do otherwise.
People think I was born into this business
with all these connections and knowing all
these incredible people, like the biz was
handed to me on a silver platter.
I started in Oklahoma City where no
marketers were I didn't know anyone.
Ditto for when I moved to Dallas.
Everything changed when I really and truly
unlocked a formula that sold like crazy.
There are those days in which I wish people
cared about buying real, true, valuable
training that will help them in the long run
as I do about providing it.
The Primrose path is always more enticing.
"Do not, as some ungracious pastors do,
Show me the steep and thorny way to heaven,
Whiles, like a puff'd and reckless libertine,
Himself the primrose path of dalliance treads
And recks not his own rede."
-- Shakespeare in Hamlet. 1602
Best wishes,
Marlon
