Why You Should NEVER Get Off Email Lists

Re: Do you have 3 gmail accounts?

Hello,

Marlon here.

Did you know there is a multi-gazillion dollar education hidden
in your email box?

Today Uncle Marlon is gonna show you exactly how to set up your
gmail accounts to rock and roll.

Well, I intended to send you an ad swap for a click partner
today.

But no one stepped up to the bat. It's kinda hard for me to trade
clicks because not many people can send the clicks I can.

Hmmmmmmmm.

So I decided to give you a VERY valuable tip instead:

Never click the "get me off this list" button.

That's right. STAY on all the email lists you can. There is a
multi-gazillion dollar education in your email box.

Since I'll be sending you a few offers from other marketers
sending you to an email capture page, I figured I should show you
how to set things up so you don't get bombarded in a way you don't
wanna be.

At the same time, I've hand picked a few people who I know have
quality products. And while I don't endorse every offer they
send to their list, I feel confident in allowing you to be on their
lists.

"But Marlon, 4 hour work week says to get OFF of all the lists."

That's just crazy advice. I love that book. But come on man.
There ain't no CHARGE for Gmail accounts. And they have killer
filters that keep your inbox as clean as you want it to be.

The downside of gmail is they require cookies to be turned on which
means Google is tracking your every click. Think about that.

I WISH I liked Yahoo better but it's not even close. So in exchange
for that great email account you give up half your privacy. Then,
if you use a Google phone you give up the other half.

In spite of that, here's what I recommend:

1. Your personal gmail

This is the one only friends and family get. And me. Stick me
in there.

2. Your stealth gmail

This is the one under a pseudo name so you can subscribe to all
your pal's lists without them knowing and deleting you or putting
you on the list they don't send their "good stuff" to.

You use this one for the higher priority stuff that you want to
review more frequently to troll for great, killer subject lines
and keep up on the latest whatever.

3. Your business gmail

This is the one for routine business correspondence

OK, I have three MORE "bonus" gmail accounts for you.....It's a
baker's dozen...except....it's not a dozen. I guess it's a
baker's three then....

4. Your grab bag gmail

Yeah, I know I said for. Which proves Perry Belcher was right
when he said I couldn't count! Like I'll say I'm gonna teach you
three things and list five.

This is the gmail account you use to subscribe to any ol' squeeze
page. Sometimes I use Yahoo for these. I have no logical reason
why other than I like it that way.

5. Gmail's for individual marketers

I stick Daegan Smith in his own Gmail. I stick Jason Fladlien in
one. I stick Lee McIntyre in one. I stick other marketers I
like in their own gmails. That way, I can read all their offers
and subject lines in a glance, see how frequently they are
emailing and whatever else it is I wanna know.

6. Google Alerts Gmail For Your Stuff

This is the one you use for your Google alerts on your name,
your product names, etc.

That way, if some idiot sticks them on rapidshare or another
torrent, you get notified immediately and you can politely ask
them to get your stuff off of there.

You can also have Google alerts set up for other marketers names,
topics and so forth.

Now, my Google alerts go to my #3 account. But I also have a
grab bag Google alerts account.

Hey, it don't cost no money. Why not?

Like, did you think of putting keywords in there so you get
notified when they are used in forum or blog posts so you can
drop a link there to your web site and a halfway insightful
comment?

That's more work than I usually wanna go to but it's a good idea.

What I'll do with marketers I don't know is send them to my
low priority gmail account and then if I like their stuff I'll
subscribe via my higher priority biz Gmail account.

NEVER subscribe to email lists using your personal email account,
other than yours truly....:)

But you knew that.

Hey, I haven't seen many blog posts lately. Come on man! You know
the url. http://www.marlonsnews.com

If you don't hit me up with comments on my weekly ezine, I won't
send one for awhile to make sure I got your attention....

And you wouldn't want to miss out on killer content, would you?

:)

Best wishes,

Marlon
