Re: 56 Twitter Promotions in 33 Hours & 33 Minutes
Hey,
Marlon here.
It's been 33 hours and 33 minutes more or less since I sent out
my ezine yesterday.
Since then, 56 people have sent Twitter promotions for my
blog.
You can see the counter on my blog:
http://www.marlonsnews.com
In the ezine article, I explain in detail how you can add this
viral Twitter machine to YOUR blog also.
Now, let's talk straight here: The reason I got 56 promotions
is I have a list. So you probably won't get that without a list.
Then again, all I offered was the opportunity for 1 person to
snag a copy of one of my Dashboards.
You may want to kick that up a notch or two if you're starting
out.
If you don't know HOW to tweet and retweet, see my article
yesterday. There's a video and complete instructions in it.
Here's the thing -- WHATEVER traffic you get from this little
plugin costs you ZILCH. Nada.
I call this an Uber Mini System. In other words, it's a tiny
system. In this case, it's for viral traffic.
Little mini systems like these are advantages. In checkers,
it's like snagging one of the pieces in the Game.
Or like capturing a pawn in chess.
These little advantages pile up over time. The game of chess is
ALL based on little advantages that add up to winning the Game.
One of the other things I found yesterday is a truly awesome
player for video that does the latest .mp4 format and it's super
easy peasy to plug into your blog.
That's another advantage.
I now have a very simple and killer audio player for my blog.
That's another tiny advantage.
I now have a new way to OPEN sales letters that's going to just
crush it.
That's another advantage -- but a bit bigger one.
Here's the PROBLEM I see in how most people teach Internet
marketing and how most people go about learning it.
Everyone is out there looking for the grand slam. Why else do
you think the bright and talented Frank Kern has sold millions
of Mass Control? Because he reveals how he does million dollar
launches.
Fair enough. Nothing wrong with it.
But that's what I call the Grand Slam.
But launches like those are built on many tiny advantages. You
build a castle one brick or stone at a time. You don't just
push a button and POOF! There's a castle.
So here's what happens: You keep learning and learning and
learning and researching trying to find that magical secret
instead of taking small actions that pile up little advantages
in your favor every day.
Here's how this applies to YOU:
Let's say you buy and ebook and you think 95% of it is trash.
What about the 2 good ideas in it?
Do you act on THOSE?
Or do you just leave it on your hard drive because it doesn't
have that ever illusive Grand Slam answer?
There ARE Grand Slam answers. Like getting on the CPA networks.
That's a grand slam answer. And I believe in my interview with
Daegan in Promo Dashboard he talks about it.
However, being on there successfully is built on dozens of tiny
advantages....like 1 click upsells and downsells...knowledge and
skill of sales letter creation....
I can go on and on.
My point is this -- you build your empire, your castle, or your
dreams a brick at a time.
And what I see is that most people are desperate for that one
big answer like a crack addict on a search for the next hit.
This is NOT Internet marketing, at least not the Marlon Sanders
way.
Here's HOW you get this deal going....
You start simple.
You don't know how to use Twitter? Then get my video I sent out
yesterday and spend 10 minutes to learn.
You don't know how to install a blog or use Wordpress?
Go to Youtube, search and watch some videos or follow the steps
in Promo Dashboard. I think the blog is icon 1 on row 5 if
memory serves me well (but don't quote me on it).
Here's the big secret:
Instead of trying to hit that Grand Slam, look to hit a nice
single. Or just get on base.
Or lets switch analogies. Instead of trying to cook a 7 course
meal that's extremely elaborate, let's bake a cake or make a
pudding.
Everything I do and teach is actionized. It's about the action.
This is why the Dashboards are the way they are. There's no
"big, massive secret" in them, although there are some pretty
cool things.
But it's really just about getting these little advantages and
piling them up in your favor.
This is why so many people tell me they've used Product Dashboard
to create a product or Promo Dashboard to promote their products.
Or they used Design Dashboard to build a site.
It's about the small things and piling up advantages.
So this next week -- instead of searching for that Grand Slam,
can you make it a goal to learn Twitter or to put up a blog, or
to learn to put audio or video on your blog?
Or learn to set up an autoresponder.
Or learn to do something you don't know how to do that puts a
few small advantages in your favor.
Best wishes,
Marlon Sanders
PS: I highly recommend the little Twitter viral plugin. I got
the idea from Robert at RobertPlank.com. I want to give credit
where credit is due.
He didn't INVENT the plugin. But he did inspire me to use it on
my blog. And for that, I'm grateful.
